How to Export Your ChatGPT History
- Open ChatGPT and go to Settings.
- Choose Data controls, then Export data, and confirm.
- OpenAI emails you a download link. Download the .zip file.
- Drop the .zip (or the conversations.json inside it) into the scanner above.
For Claude, look for Export data under Settings, Privacy. For Gemini, use Google Takeout and select Gemini Apps. Menu names change from time to time, so if you can't find it, search the tool's help center for "export data".

Does the scanner upload my chats anywhere?
No. The scanner runs in your browser. Your files are not sent to Sequirly or anyone else.
Which files can I scan?
JSON, CSV and plain-text files, ZIP archives (like a ChatGPT export), or text you paste in directly.
What does the scanner look for?
API keys and tokens, passwords and database credentials, credit card numbers, and personal data such as email addresses.
What should I do if it finds an API key?
Rotate the key right away. Deleting the chat does not undo the share, so treat the key as exposed.
